TWR Women of Hope is excited to announce that from March 2021 we have a monthly devotional specifically written to inspire you.
Click on the link to read the first edition, entitled Daughters of the King, written by our Marketing and Communications Coordinator Brianna Oakley to align with our March topic of the month – Women in Leadership. Brianna lives in North Carolina with her husband and also serves on Women of Hope’s Global Leadership Team.
The second edition of the monthly devotional, entitled The Importance of Rest, is written by Bridget Schreiner. The topic relates to the theme of Women's Health and Wellness for April 2021.
The third edition of the monthly devotional focuses on our reach to The Unreached. Brianna Oakley shares her thoughts on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and asks us to pray that "we will be bold in our faith, sharing the truth and the blessings of the Lord with those who have not yet come to know Christ."
The theme for prayer during June focused on refugees. Megan Dionne has written a devotional, You are Never without a Nation based on the choices of Orpah, Naomi and Ruth and highlighting that "the Lord’s arms are always open for us. He invites us to seek refuge in him and be welcomed into his holy nation."
During the month of July the prayer focus has been on Marriage, Family and Single Parents. Julie Capps has provided us with the devotional acknowledging that as children of God we are Adopted and Adored. Let us praise God for always welcoming us with open arms. Give thanks for the gift of your local church family.
The theme for August month is Unity and Reconciliation. In the devotional about Our Holy Heritage and Community, Brianne Oakley points out that our heritage, nationalities and political views are a part of who we are, but they are secondary to our identity in Christ. Our true and primary heritage is our kinship to the King.
Bridget Schreiner conveys her thoughts on God's Heart for Justice in the devotional for September, the month where the focus for prayer is on Human Trafficking. The righteous and the upright are being called upon today to bring the message of hope, healing, and restoration. “For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face." Let us continue to seek the Lord's face.
We welcome a new member to the TWR Women of Hope team at the international office, Harmony Buffington, who shares her thoughts with us on being Enabled to Endure in the devotional for October. God enables us to endure all of life's struggles with the grace, peace, and strength that comes from being in His presence.
The theme for the devotional for November is based on 2 Corinthians 10:5. “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” Madison Phelps share her thoughts on Taking Every Thought Capitve.
